john is grieving. he lost his baby too.
girl under arrest in the back of his car, drunk, crying: you dont understand, i just lost my dad, it's so hard.
john: that makes it ok to drink and drive?
girl: you just dont understand loss!
john, blood boiling, yelling: i just lost my fucking daughter, it doesnt give you a fucking excuse...
his partner had to take over after that.

wow. poor guy. sometimes, i think we should all wear our stories on our shirts. so that we can see that we all have saddness in our lives. i think it would make the majority of people much more sensitive and loving towards others.

ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the things he sees and the people like this he encounters. Big hugs to both of you. I hope that girl remembers what he said when she's sober actually. Think of the damage she could do driving drunk. Shudder. He's right that there's no excuse.
