howl at the moon

this time last year, my dearest friend melody and i found our new favorite place to go.. a piano bar called howl at the moon. she was single, hoping to meet the man of her dreams, and i was trying to have a baby, and a little disappointed we hadnt found this place sooner, since i knew that i wouldnt be able to go out to places like this much longer.

the future i dreamed of drastically changed. but melody met that man of her dreams, married him, and either tonight or in the early hours of tomorrow morning, she will have his baby. and she has never been happier in her life.

what a difference a year can make.

so i just took a shower, because i have some serious calming down to do before working my first 12 hour shift tonight since june, and i wept, i howled at the moon for what might have been. for that pretty little baby girl who both completed and shattered my heart.

    Oh, sweet Beth. As happy as you are for your friend, this is just so hard. So unfair. Wishing Kathlyn was in your arms and you and your friend sharing in the joys of motherhood. Hang in there. Crying with you. That photo of the two of you with your pregnant tummies.... (((Hugs)))

    Hope that work wasn't too hard.

    I'm so sorry for all those what might have beens, I'm so sorry that both of the beautiful young moms in the photographs aren't holding their precious babies. I'm so sorry, it's too unfair. Howling at the moon with you. xo
