Today, Tuesday, Jan 12, a very dear friend of mine had their baby by c-section. This is very bittersweet for me, but I love them so dearly. They were there for me at the hospital and are the only non-blood people to see our baby in person. They are family to us now, not just friends. My baby and their new baby share the middle name Joy.
The "perfect moment" happened yesterday, on Monday. I have written about signs and pink all the time, and recently I mentioned how the pink sunsets, I believe, are all the baby girls and the baby blue sky is the boys.
I was driving with my husband last night, the night before my kidney stone surgery. And as we drove away from the house, we saw a beautiful pink sunset. I scrambled to send a text to the mommy, my friend, I wanted her to see it. We were both going to be having surgery at the same time in the morning. So I said "look outside at the sky, the pink reminds me that my Kathlyn is watching. I will be praying for us all night." And I wanted to take a picture too, but it was just so fleeting... gone so quickly. Just Kathlyn peeking in for a moment to say hello. No photos allowed.. only for my eyes and memory.

Beth this is a precious gift from Kathlyn. That does make for a perfect moment. I hope that your surgery went well and that you are feeling alright.

ReplyDeleteIndeed a perfect moment, a glimpse between the veils that separate this world and the spirit world. How wonderful that Kathlyn watches over you and soothes your bereft heart.
