i came across 2 things this evening that were completely depressing. first, when picking out what to wear, i found a shirt i had forgotten about. it is from my favorite anti-abortion campaign, abort73.com, and the shirt says "better off alive." no sh*t, thanks. that sucked. the second was a lone receipt tucked into a wallet that i havent used in a while. the receipt was dated july 29. my other life.
john and i went to another movie today, and enjoyed ourselves, but the highlight was running into our pastor on the way out, who said he was "so glad to see [me] smiling!" and it was genuine.
1 smile per 2 punches in the chest... at least i'm not batting zero.

It will get easier to smile on certain days but there will always be very very sad days.
